He wrote under the pen names Ahmet Peyman, Dahhâk-i Mazlum, Dahhâk-i Zalim and Raik Vecdi. He attended primary school at Tophane Feyziye School and Eyüp Military High School. After finishing Military Medical School (1888), he continued his studies in Paris for four years (1890-94). He served in several cities such as Mersin, Rhodes and Jeddah as a quarantine doctor. He officially retired during the first days of World War I. He first gave lectures on French and then History of Turkish Literature at Istanbul University. He had to give up his work as a lecturer at Istanbul University because of his opposition to the National Struggle. In his later years, he only concerned himself with art. He was among the important poets of the Servet-i Fünûn with his poems influenced by French symbolism.'))

He was born in Edirne. He finished Edirne Teacher\'s Training School and became a teacher. He worked in Azerbaijan, Daghistan (Daghestan) and Georgia as a teacher. Then he went to Moscow Economy and Social Sciences Academy. He returned to Turkey in 1924. He was arrested and put in jail by Ankara Independence Court for 10 years. However, he was granted a pardon after 18 months in jail and got out in 1925. He worked in numerous positions of the state as a teacher and ecomomist.'))

His father was a major in the army. He attended primary school in Çanakkale, the Çanakkale Secondary School and the Izmir School of Freres. He graduated Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature (1912). He worked as a teacher and administrator at high schools in Bursa and Istanbul, then as an inspector at the Ministry of National Education (1931). He became the deputy of Çanakkale (1933-43), the chief inspector at the Ministry of National Education (1947), and a cultural attaché to Paris (1950), when he was also the Turkish representative to UNESCO. After his retirement, he served at the literary board of the Istanbul Municipal Theatres. He died in London, where he had gone to be treated for his cancer. He is buried at the Karacaahmet Graveyard.'))

He was born in Istanbul. He started his education in 1831 in Istanbul and later went to Paris with his family. He graduated from Saint Louis College in Paris. When he became the ambassador to Tehran, he learned Persian language. During his duty he became the first person who raised his country\'s flag in an embassy. He declared the embassy soil a Turkish land and started this custom. He was a pioneer of Pan-Turkism movement. He became the Minister of Education and grand vizier two times. He built a theatre in Bursa when he was made the governor of the city. In 1860, he became the ambassodor to France. He wrote the first Turkish Dictionary. He is considered to be the first Turkist of the Ottoman Turks.'))
