ABOUT THE COLLECTION OWNER

I have been collecting items (stamps, postcards, photocards, cartes-de-visite, propaganda leaflets, vintage photos, etc.) since 2002. After all these years, I started believing that collecting is like an infectious disease; a disease difficult to bring under control. Because, when you start collecting something, the virus spreads secretly and all of a sudden you catch yourself collecting many other stuff as well. It is a total mystery even to yourself how and when you have made up your mind about adding those "new" things into your collecting habit.

However, I believe the beauty of collecting is in doing it consciously. This is a matter of time and learning by experience. Throughout your quest, you learn many things which you didn't know before. When you collect, every item you gather make you wonder about its origin, its relationship with other items, its place in history, the material its made of and so on. This list of questions is endless, their limit is your imagination. This feeling of curiosity then make you start searching for answers and therefore more information.
